For more than three decades, Ralph Dance has protected and served the people of Corinth. For the next four years, he will just serve the citizens.
Dance worked for the Corinth Police Department for 32 years, the final eight years as police chief. In September, he was elected mayor, defeating two-term incumbent Tommy Irwin. His first day as mayor was Nov. 7.
“I walked out of the police department on Friday and into the mayor’s office on Monday,” Dance said.

• Graduate of F.B.I. Law Enforcement Command College
• Awarded Police Officer of the Year for the Corinth Police Department and S.W.A.T. Officer of the Year by the Mississippi Tactical Officer’s Association in 2007.
• Awarded Police Officer of the Year by the Mississippi Attorney General’s Office and the Mississippi Prosecutors Association for the Northern District of Mississippi on October 24, 2008.
• Graduate of the Mississippi Law Enforcement Training Academy
