Now that Laurel City Councilman Trey Chinn has formally entered the Mayor’s race, it has ended much speculation about his possible political future
Trey Chinn is a former City Councilman from Laurel, MS. As a testament to his leadership as Councilperson, he was selected to participate in the National Black Caucus of Local Elected Officials Fellowship Program and elected as second Vice-President of Mississippi Black Caucus of Local Elected Officials while serving as councilman. Trey attended Wabash College in Crawfordsville, IN and American University in Washington D.C. where he studied Speech Communications and Political Science. His work experiences include political consulting, community organizing, and working in municipal government. Currently, Trey is the Administrative and Marketing Manager for Thomas Pharmacy and continues to do government and political consulting.
