Robert Foster, a Christian, farmer, small businessman and Mississippi native, works on his family’s farm, Cedar Hill Farm, an Agri-Tourism business that was founded in the small town of Love, Mississippi over 19 years ago. As the son of a general surgeon (father) and small business owner (mother), Robert learned and understands the value of hard work and perseverance. Upon graduation from the University of Mississippi, with a degree in business, Robert returned home to his family’s farm. It is here Robert learned the difficulties and challenges that go along with building, operating, and growing a small business in today’s over reaching bureaucratic environment. As the President of Cedar Hill Farm, Robert has transformed the operations of the farm into a thriving family business and has created over 100 jobs in today’s ever challenging economy. By serving tens of thousands of customers a year, Cedar Hill Farm has become a popular educational and family attraction for families, schools, and children across our entire Mid-South region. He is also currently serving as the President of the Southern Christmas Tree Association. Robert was named the 2012 Conservationist of the Year by the DeSoto County Soil and Water Conservation District. Cedar Hill Farm was named business of the month in September of 2013 by the Hernando Chamber of Commerce and in 2014 was voted DeSoto’s Best Attraction by the people of DeSoto County.
