July 7, 2015: Meridian Star: Supervisors receive personal property tax rolls
RCG Ventures of Atlanta, Ga., is the developer in the project that will build a "$20 million addition to the Meridian Crossroads Center," according to RCG Ventures Vice President of Acquisitions and Development Jeff Miller. The Meridian City Council approved the TIF plan last month. The county still has to approve its end of the plan, and the public hearing was a required step, according to board president Kyle Rutledge.

Jan 20, 2015: WTOK: Lauderdale County Supervisors Vote to Appeal State Ethics Commission Ruling
The ruling said supervisors violated the Open Meetings Act. Supervisors Josh Todd, Hank Florey and Joe Norwood voted for the appeal, while Wayman Newell and Kyle Rutledge voted against it. Several county residents voiced their concerns about the legal fees associated with the appeal at Tuesday night's meeting.

The Lauderdale County Board of Supervisors on Monday selected District 5 supervisor Kyle Rutledge as the new board president for 2015. Rutledge will also serve as president of the Lauderdale County Economic Development District.
