Moran and three of the aldermen -- Jerry Dalgo, Greg Denyer and John Gill -- apparently favor Dunston, the presumptive front-runner after nearly 9 years as the deputy chief. Both Moran and Dalgo had made their support of Dunston's candidacy known publicly prior to Thursday night.
