A number of bills have been filed that would either legalize recreational marijuana use or decriminalize possession of a curtain amount of the drug, which the legislature last year legalized for medical use. A bill filed by Rep. Jeffrey Harness, D-Fayette, would create the "Mississippi Retail Marijuana Act," and would allow for people 21-years-old or older to use marijuana. A bill filed by Sen. Angela Turner-Ford, D-West Point, would decriminalize possession of up to two and a half ounces of marijuana.
