Aug 5, 2015: WLOX: Brian Pearse unofficially tops Hunter Dawkins by one vote
Emotions and thoughts were high for both Hunter Dawkins and Brian Pearse, who tied with 323 votes each in Tuesday's primary election.

The son of Craig Dawkins, MD and the Honorable Deborah Dawkins, I grew up on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, having spent 30 years of my life as a resident of West Harrison County. I first attended Harrison County public schools, while playing sports with the Pass Christian recreational league, then graduating from St. Stanislaus. I received a scholarship from the Catholic University of America in 2001, which brought me to Washington, DC. While attending school there, I received an opportunity from former US Representative Ronnie Shows to be employed as an intern on Capitol Hill. With my Bachelor of Arts from CUA earned in 2005, I returned home a week before Hurricane Katrina.
