The vote was 3-2. Voting to withdraw were Robert Deming III, George Lawrence and David Fayard, who said the city needs a deadline to get the matter resolved. Paul Tisdale and Kenny Glavan voted against leaving the authority, saying they want to know the cost to the city of regulating the taxi industry and the proposed regulations in place before pulling out of the authority. Councilwoman Dixie Newman left the room and abstained from voting and Council President Felix Gines was absent
