Billy Hudson (b. June 16, 1938) was a Republican member of the Mississippi State Senate, representing District 45. He was first elected to the chamber in 2007. Hudson served as a Magee city alderman. He has also been a member/chair of the Forrest County Supervisors. Hudson attended the University of Southern Mississippi; he also attended the University of Arizona and Perkinston Junior College in 1957. His professional experience includes working as a rancher, and previously serving as the CEO of Hudson Salvage.

Forrest County, Mississippi, is named after Confederate Lt. Gen. Nathan Bedford Forrest, who was also the first leader of the Ku Klux Klan. Sen. Billy Hudson (R- Forrest County) said while he was not happy the county was named after Forrest, he would not change the county's name, which he said would take the action of the state legislature.

Senate Bill 2015 would make it a crime to make a false statement or representation on a job application. The bill, filed by state Sen. Billy Hudson, says a person convicted of violating the law would face a misdemeanor with punishment of $1,000 fine or up to one year in prison for a first offense. A second or subsequent offense would be a felony with a maximum punishment of five years in prison and a $5,000 fine.
